Guido Hoogenboom

Born in 1934 in Utrecht, presently living in Lelystad (the Netherlands).
Higher Professional Education, Conservatory, song teacher. Song career in the Netherlands and various other countries.
Work experience: education and industry in the Netherlands, Canada and Australia.
In 1971 to 1973, I worked in Australia at Commonwealth Engineering. I constructed there dubble platform trains and was responsible for the lower part.
At my return to the Netherlands, I was a teacher from 1974 to 1980. During this period, I became more and more aware of the environmental pollution in the Netherlands, Europe and the rest of the world. This caused me to write a letter to the then Dutch Minister of Transport, Mr. Tuinman. I advised him to introduce double deck trains also in the Netherlands, as the ones that were common for years in Australia.
In his answer, he wrote that he will consult with my brother, engineer George Hoogenboom, who was his right hand then. Five years later, the first double deck trains circulated also here.
Since 2002, I promote Starrport, together with Freed Schmitter, here and elsewhere. Especially in Latin America I was able to establish high level contacts. I intend to have this focus also with StarrportCorp.
